Sample Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – We’ll pick you up from Philip-Goldson International Airport (BZE). Enjoy the short ride to Belize City as we travel along the Belize River. Once we arrive at the hotel you’ll have some free time to relax and unwind as you prepare to embark on a week long journey exploring “Mother Nature’s Hidden Secret”. In the evening you’ll meet other guests at our “welcome reception” at a local restaurant.
Day 2 – This morning you’ll get to meet with professionals in the areas of banking, real estate, law insurance, immigration and learn more about Belize’s Qualified Retired Persons Program (QRP). In the afternoon we’re heading north to Corozal Town. During our trip along the northern highway we’ll pass through the towns of Ladyville and Orange Walk. Corozal is popular with many ex-pats due to its close proximity to Chetumal, Mexico. After we’ve explored the town we’ll head over to Cerros Sands and Orchid Bay where we’ll see some of the biggest real estate developments in the area.
Day 3 – This morning we’ll be flying to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. This island or Caye (pronounced “key”) is best known for its resorts, diving, and fishing and is the most popular with tourists. Upon landing you’ll see that travel is quite different on the island as it’s mostly bikes and golf carts. Here we’ll visit with a local real estate agent and see some of the available properties for sale. In the evening you’ll have free time to walk the beach, have dinner or maybe enjoy a cocktail at one of the many local bars.
Day 4 –If you like the idea of island living but want something a little more slow paced then you will enjoy our trip to Caye Caulker. We’ll take a short ride via water taxi and you’ll see the second best known Caye in Belize and get glimpse back into time. We’ll see some real estate and have lunch at one of the local restaurants before heading back to San Pedro. You’ll have more free time this evening to see the town and maybe pick up a few souvenirs
Day 5 – It’s back to the air as we take a morning flight back to Belize City. On our way out of town we’ll stop at the rum factory as we head inland along the western highway to San Ignacio in the Cayo district. We’ll meet with a local real estate agent and you’ll see why many people prefer living in this area.
Day 6 – Today we’ll be taking the Hummingbird Highway towards the town of Dangriga then head south on the Southern Highway. This area of the country has several new developments so if our schedule allows we’ll stop and take a tour. Then we’re on to Placencia peninsula which has 16 miles of beautiful sand beaches and is home to the “World’s Narrowest Street”. This is also where the new international airport is being constructed.
Day 7 – Today you’ll get a chance to meet with a local real estate agent who’s also an ex-pat. We’ll tour some properties and you can ask questions over lunch. In the evening we’ll enjoy our “Farewell Reception” as we prepare to say good bye to all the new friends we’ve met along the way.
Day 8 – This morning you will fly back to the international airport to connect with your flight home. If you’re taking advantage of our 2 day “Best of the West” excursion, we’ll head back north for more fun and adventure.
